Why use Statewide RM? On this page, we answer that question by explaining our history and our competitive advantages. We are an Authorized Applicator of many leading products and we’re licensed, insured and bonded.
Growing Up in the Business
“My clients always benefit from the personal attention of Statewide’s principals, John and Kieran Fitzgibbon … They always satisfy the most demanding of our associations. I’d recommend them without reservation.” Steve Dannin, Dannin Management – Commercial, Residential & Condominium Property
John and Kieran Fitzgibbon learned everything from basic carpentry to the art of masonry restoration from their father, Vincent, a carpenter in their native Cork, Ireland.
While growing up, they helped him during summers and weekends, then came to the United States to start their own business in 1992.
While growing up, the Fitzgibbons played hurling, a game of Irish origin that is as popular among Irish youths as baseball is in the United States. Hurling — not to be confused with curling — is the fastest field game in the world. Players score by hitting a ball between opponents’ goalposts with a wooden stick called a hurley. The brothers initially came to the United States to play in a hurling league and settled in Boston.
After founding Statewide RM — the RM stands for Restoration of Masonry — the Fitzgibbons found that much of their work was coming from property management companies, and they soon focused on maintaining and restoring condominiums and commercial buildings.
Guests at Your Property
“Most condominiums we work on are occupied living spaces,” Kieran Fitzgibbon explained. “We consider ourselves to be guests at your property. Our craftsmen maintain a friendly, respectful manner toward residents and take pains to minimize noise and disruption.”
As “guests,” they not only try to keep noise, dust and debris to a minimum, they keep the workplace clean and neat while working and after each project is completed.
Many of the properties that Statewide RM restores are in historical districts, so the Fitzgibbons and the craftsmen who work for them respect the historical integrity of each building. They identify the materials needed to blend seamlessly with the structure, even after decades of weathering. And they know how to navigate the approval process so your project is on time and on budget, while also meeting state and federal regulatory requirements.
Statewide has developed relationships with management companies, property managers, building envelope consultants and others, and “we get an incredible amount of repeat business.” Fitzgibbon said. ^TOP
